ALUMINUM CAVA COFFEE TABLE
The word cava, rooted in the Latin cavus / cave / concave, evokes the image of spaces carved deep into the earth—caverns that exist both beneath and within, born from the very earth itself. This project, born from simplicity and directness, is crafted without excessive contemplation, worked by hand in plaster and resin, yet equally realized in the permanence of solid materials like bronze. Through this approach, we begin to explore not just the form, but the relationship between the written and the built—the physical and the imagined.
In this quiet emergence, we find not only a collection of objects but a philosophy: a meditation on the way forms rise from the earth and language shapes the spaces we inhabit. “Cava”, was conceived in Paris, inspired by a silent, almost primordial connection with the distant marble chapels or ‘caverns’ of Chilean Patagonia. These places, where the earth speaks in the quiet language of the stone.
