METAWE BIRD VASE

The ketru metawe is a ceremonial vase handcrafted by Mapuche women (an indigenous Chilean community), which plays a fundamental role in representing, through the woman, the entire family. Each piece is unique and, during the konchotun - the most important ceremony - it helps strengthen the mutual friendship between two families or individuals, establishing an eternal connection. Families exchange clothes and jewelry as offerings, and share food and water in a ketru metawe. This element takes on transcendental significance in the most essential moments of Mapuche culture, whether ritual ceremonies or festivities. Abel represents this symbol of his origins in this beautiful bronze vase, whose luminosity highlights the animal figure.
